Tiny Furniture (shot fully on a Canon 7D?!)

This whole film was shot on a 7D, which was my main draw to check it out. It looked fantastic, but I wasn’t in love with the film. The dialogue was pretty funny, but I just ended up getting annoyed with the lead character. I just wanted to slap her and tell her to get her shit together. Regardless of what I think, people did like Lena Dunham’s work (she starred and directed) and now Judd Apatow is helping produce a show on HBO with her. So hopefully Apatow will guide this in the right direction and we don’t get Sex and the City but with Twenty-Somethings Feeling Lost + Hipsters.

A 40 second short I made for the 40-Second Film Festival celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Portland Film Festival. Don’t worry, K is in no eminent danger.

Accidental Troll of the Day: A spelling bee participant has an excruciatingly tough time making out the word he’s supposed to be spelling. (Skip to 0:34.)

To all people: This is a real spelling bee one level down from Nationals. I wasn’t able to hear the word (speakers were pointed at audience and not us spellers) Many people failed hard and one tried to copy my epic troll(wasn’t trying to be just trying to figure out the word) but failed hard. This is real and was not staged. It’s [me] failing hard.

buahaha.

My first shoot for opbmusic.org was for Portland-based band Lost Lander. I was assigned to cover the girl. Creeper shots weren’t intentional. The band was okay. They have some sweet album packaging though! If you fold it the right way, you could shine a flashlight through it, and then constellations will display in a dark room. Justin Bieber can show you how it works here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J4GioJukCm4

[Flash 9 is required to listen to audio.]

What. This band is called Oregon Bike Trails.

Just realized Tennis’ new album comes out on Valentines’ Day.

AWW.

Put a bird on it.

Put a bird on it.

Bummed I can’t be at this house on Friday.

Why yes, I am a big fan of Bollywood and disco mash ups. This was my first Bollywood film and was actually pretty surprised by it. It was cheesy at parts, slightly confusing, but had some decent comedy and drama. It made me tear up in the end (sort of). It’s worth checking out if you haven’t seen a Bollywood flick before, or have three hours to spare (there is an intermission).

Probably my lamest start to Christmas.

Flipped a guy off, then a dented car bumper as a result (Christmas karma), K forgot her store keys, so then she was late to work with her boss waiting on her return. Plus parents mad at each other for some reason or another.

Lets try this again.
